We are directing our technicians to wear masks at all times when entering a residence as well as nitrile gloves that will be changed regularly.

We are using Tea Tree oil disinfecting and sanitizing products, that according to the FDA are anti-microbial (kills viruses, bacteria and fungus) and safe for humans and pets.
The technicians will be treating their uniforms, shoes and equipment with these products regularly in the effort to eliminate the transportation of any virus etc.

Why does a fireplace need to be serviced?

You have to realize that you are having an open fire inside a structure made of flammable materials. A wood-burning fireplace will accumulate a substance called creosote over time as it’s used. Creosote is highly flammable and too much of a build up is a fire hazard. In gas fireplaces, they should be checked annually to make sure they are not having gas leaks and that all components are working properly to provide the safest and most attractive fireplace experience.

What services do we provide?

• Fireplace/chimney troubleshooting and repairs (including chimney caps)
• Fireplace/chimney maintenance (sweep & inspection)
• Dryer vent cleaning & inspection and some repairs

How frequently should your maintenance services be performed?

• Chimney sweeps & inspections should be performed annually
• Dryer vent cleaning & inspections should be performed annually at a minimum.
• Gutter clearing should be performed on an as-needed basis. Most will need it annually.

Are you licensed and insured?

We are fully insured for any project and are happy to send a Certificate of Insurance upon request. Texas does not require chimney sweeps to be licensed. However, our technicians are certified by the CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) and NFI (National Fireplace Institute).

What does it take to become a certified technician?

A new technician on our team must apprentice under a certified technician first. Then he/she must spend many hours studying all forms of fireplace maintenance, repair and installation using material obtained from the CSIA or NFI. Finally, the technician must pass a comprehensive certification test administered by the entity. To maintain their certification, the technician must complete continuing education units (CEUs) annually.

Do your technicians need to enter the apartments to perform the services?

Chimneys are cleaned from the inside using the latest technology available. Dryer vents are cleaned from the outside; however, to ensure thorough cleaning, our technicians enter the apartment to turn on the dryer, creating back pressure. In some cases, dryer vents must be cleaned from the inside. Gutter clearing does not require entry into the apartments.

Will I need to provide an escort for the technicians to enter the apartments?

We always want to have an escort. This protects the resident, the community, and our company.

How do you determine pricing for work performed at Multifamily Residences?

There are several factors that can affect the price of our services. These include:
- Length of time since service professionally performed
- Number of stories of building and steepness of roof
- Number of units needing service
- Number of services we perform at one time
- Location of the job site
